Property: Vanadium has a high melting point and is often referred to as a refractory metal along with niobium, tantalum, tungsten, and molybdenum. Has extensibility, hard texture, and is non-magnetic. Has the ability to resist hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, and performs better than most stainless steels in terms of gas resistance, salt resistance, and corrosion resistance. Vanadium, a dense metal at room temperature, is relatively stable and does not interact with air, water, or alkali.
Purpose:
1) Adding microalloying element vanadium to steel has the effect of refining grain size and improving the strength and toughness of materials. The precipitation strengthening effect of microalloying elements replaces the strengthening effect of carbon, and can also improve the welding performance of materials.
2) It has excellent comprehensive properties such as low density, high specific strength, good corrosion resistance, and good processability. It can also serve for a long time above 400 ℃ and maintain high strength. Can be used to manufacture fans, blades, press plates, and pressure components for aircraft engines.
